Deep Symbolism: Josefa Ortiz de Domínguez, also known as La Corregidora, was instrumental in the early stages of the Mexican War of Independence. She hosted secret meetings at her home, where influential figures like Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla and Ignacio Allende planned the rebellion. Despite the risk, she was a central figure in the Querétaro Conspiracy and courageously warned the insurgents when their plans were discovered. Her timely warning led to the "Grito de Dolores" on September 16, 1810, marking the beginning of the independence movement.
